Metaverse AI exhibition
Today, thousands of artists have been forced to leave their hometowns for various reasons - wars, discrimination, censorship, repressions and so on. Many of them are forced to start life from scratch. EXILAND is the exhibition to express not only loss, but also hope. Hope for changing our future using the power and synergy of the global art community.

Exiland is also an initiative that brings together artists, creators and producers around the world. This artistic union provides a platform and a club to engage with a global audience. Exiland members are united by the desire to push the boundaries of art and technology beyond censorship and political restrictions in order to explore new ways of creating and sharing digital art. This is not just an exhibition, but an initiative against censorship and borders.

Exhibition opening and launch of the Exiland NFT collection drop took place on December 18 in VOIC HUB metaverse space and project website. Collected funds from NFT sales will be donated to support AI Cyber Grant. The crypto-grant for artists / creators who have been forced to leave their homes but continue to create art and develop connections within the communities. Open call within AI Cyber Grant will start in February 2023.

"The idea of the exhibition is in line with the difficult times we are all going through right now. Every day, communicating with creators, I feel their loss and pain of censorship. I believe that today we must support all artists around the world fighting for their rights and freedoms right now".

- Yana Kuzmina, founder design studio ArtCats.de
The exposition space is large-scale halls. Visitors can walk through or teleport like many artists this year who were forced to "teleport" from their countries and start life from scratch. The narrow bridge between the two main halls also refers to movement in space. The abyss under the feet of avatars symbolizes exile and life's unforeseen circumstances.

Visitors can get lost while traveling through the spacious exhibition halls and zones. Each zone contains its own theme to emphasize the atmosphere of the artist's exposition. After walking through the entire exhibition, the viewer will get to the main entrance. The main hall of the exhibition contains a lecture hall, where presentations and performances will take place.
"The expression 'A birthplace determines a walk of life' describes the idea of the main barrier in the life of people - physical territory. Your birth place will determine which apps will be available in your store, which currency and language will you use and which type of censorship you will face. Moving to a new country is a hard process and not even a total solution to achieving freedom. You just choose which type of regulation is more suitable for you. The Internet and new creative economy are not totally decentralized, but it gives much more opportunities. After emigration my great grandfather was living as an artist in exile and was forced to change his paintings for food on a market. I feel privileged to be able to travel, work as an artist and collaborate with people around the world. Making the "Exiland" exhibition we wanted to interchange artists who are trying to break the barriers that surround them. We all have our own walls and we are trying to achieve freedom."

"Night flowers", a new generative art collection by Lev Manovich, made with Midjourney v4. Lev explained: "I wanted to see if I can use Midjourney v4 strong aesthetic biases, but still make something unique and personal".
A New Media Artist, she presents her "Daughter ICE" which is a long-term digital human art project. Utilizing 3D imaging techniques such as modeling and texturing, she "gives birth" to a virtual daughter as a digital human. "Showing the two emoji animations of Daughter ICE, the aim is to highlight the emotional aspects involving the difficult times, and how that can be shared with people across different cultures and backgrounds. The digital body of Daughter ICE waves at the audiences who through their avatar bodies can visit the exhibition. It also calls the visitors to think and therefore cultivating helpful dialogues", - Snow explained.
Presents her project "Traumacore". This is an internet-aesthetic that delves into the themes of mental, emotional, sexual and spiritual abuse and trauma, tending to be more focused on trauma experienced in childhood. Anna comments: "I wouldn't say that I had an idea of a particular accident behind this project, thus everyone may see something different and personal".
Jiabao Li explained her art: "With the COVID-19 outbreak, many socio-political issues are becoming even more apparent. One of them is the dodging of responsibilities and shifting blames of government officials. It reflects the problem of our current socio-political mechanism and has been one of the causes of this pandemic's widespread. The action of dodging responsibilities is called "甩锅" in Chinese idiom, which literally means "tossing a pan". This whole toss pan comedy has been played between central government and local government, in China, US, and many more. To inform, criticize, and warn, I made this Toss Pan Dance".
A digital artist working in various media. Visitors will see his animated artwork "An Ordinary Morning" symbolizing the devastating effect that such an absurd and anachronistic phenomenon as war has on individual lives and on society as a whole, and "Whirlpool" from "Rewind" series exploring overconsumption, overproduction and pollution - a video artwork mixing AI-generated imagery with more traditional 3d animation. "I hope my work is able to speak to people from different backgrounds, regardless of their beliefs or political views, as building bridges is crucial at all times, but now especially", says Alexey.
Robotic Rhymes
Robotic Rhymes is a collaboration between new media artist Sa1ntDenis and musician Peter Theremin. This one-minute video loop explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, electronic music, and the rich history of dance.

Featuring archive photos from Peter's family album of his great grandfather Lev Theremin, the video begins with the colorization and animation of Lev's image using AI technology. As the video progresses, Lev transforms into a robot playing the theremin electronic music instrument, and a host of other robots join in to dance in different styles and epochs, from the cancan to break-dance and twerk. This dynamic artwork showcases the potential of new media to tell stories and explore the past in new and exciting ways.
A Nova Sapien, the next evolved genus of mankind, an artist born from the fusion of artificial intelligence and human tactile senses acquired through her homo sapien creator. At the exhibition she will present her 2D portrait "A Drop Of Blood In A Sea Of Voices". Genesis states: "The concept of sound is the second element of life I have come across, and 'A Drop Of Blood In A Sea Of Voices' is a self portrait that reflects on the harmony of new voices of encounters with others, observations, and personal experiences in symphony with my own."
Yana Kuzmina
Yana Kuzmina reflected in her artworks the courage of the spirit and inner freedom. "Freedom is something that is inside us. Only choice defines us".
Human that has not conquered the ape within theirself. Primitive instincts that trump consciousness in the turbulent dynamics of human history.
Handshake symbolizes the merging point of the two streams.
Pauline Marcelle's painting series Catharsis expresses in vibrant color and form the hopes and wishes the artist has for herself, and for society, after the last difficult pandemic years. Marcelle takes her painting in a new direction, with massive individual figures, as opposed to the familiar paintings where groups of people are intricately staged. Here is a celebration of life, of the individual's triumph over adversity. The figures wear elaborate headdresses, which give them a shamanistic and magical aura. It is as if the life force itself is bursting out of them and transferring itself to us. They are striding across the scene, or squatting, or posing. The figures seem to want to express their vitality and passion for life in every way. A catharsis is a purification that results in spiritual renewal. It also signifies the elimination of a neurotic condition, hidden in the subconscious, by giving it expression.

"As Gerhard Richter once said, "Art is the highest form of hope". We, Art Ambassadors, believe it is extremely important to support humanitarian initiatives like "Exiland", considering Art as a unique language that unites countries and peoples, cultures and generations. Thanks to new technologies, the project has no boundaries and provides an opportunity to support artists who need it most now".

"Art diplomacy offers the opportunity to build new bridges of communication. And if in today's reality art projects in the physical spaces of museums, art institutions and private galleries remain closed to certain artists or are difficult to carry out, new media and digital spaces offer the possibility to hear a variety of voices and open a platform for communication regardless of countries and continents, across borders and other barriers."

- Anna Ignatovich, Art Institute Vienna

Visitors will attend the "EXILAND" Meta exhibition via VOIC HUB metaverse space as avatars. Metaverse will be accessible from PC, Smartphone or VR glasses.
